Homework Exercise #3: AI Image Generation

The purpose of this exercise is to practice writing meaningful prompts to create AI generated imagery using the “Text to Image” feature in Adobe Firefly. You will create two AI generated images of your choice. For each image you will submit total of 5 images/prompts.

Instructions:

  1. Start with a simple prompt of your choice.
    • Remember to make the image safe for class 😊
    • If you get a message saying the prompt is too short that’s ok.
    • Take a screenshot of the results and document your prompt.

  2. Expand on the prompt by making it a bit more descriptive.
    • Take a screenshot of the results and document your prompt.

  3. Create your first set of variants
    • Change the styles – play around with combinations of theme, movement, technique, effect materials)
    • Take a screenshot of the results and document your prompt and styles.

  4. Create your second set of variants
    • Change the content type and make any additional adjustments with lighting, color & tone, and composition.
    • Take a screenshot of the results and document your prompt and styles.

  5. Select your favorite final image
    • Download the individual image
    • Document why this is your favorite.
    • Did it meet your expectations? If not, why?
    • Do you notice anything odd about the image?

HW Assignment #2: Favorite Apps

List two of your favorite apps that you just can't live without. (Aside from Messaging, Email and Facebook/twitter)

Please remember that these apps must be appropriate for class as we will be using your selections as part of a class discussion.

Homework Assignment #1: Website Critique

Choose 2 websites to critique. Note at least one like/dislike for each. If possible try viewing them in different browsers and see if you can find any differences. If you have a content blocker, try turning it on/off and noting any differences in each site.

Please remember that these websites must be appropriate for class as we will be using your selections as part of a class discussion.
