Homework Exercise #3: AI Image Generation

The purpose of this exercise is to practice writing meaningful prompts to create AI generated imagery using the “Text to Image” feature in Adobe Firefly. You will create two AI generated images of your choice. For each image you will submit total of 5 images/prompts.

Instructions:

  1. Start with a simple prompt of your choice.
    • Remember to make the image safe for class 😊
    • If you get a message saying the prompt is too short that’s ok.
    • Take a screenshot of the results and document your prompt.

  2. Expand on the prompt by making it a bit more descriptive.

  3. Create your first set of variants
    • Change the styles – play around with combinations of theme, movement, technique, effect materials)
    • Take a screenshot of the results and document your prompt and styles.

  4. Create your second set of variants
    • Change the content type and make any additional adjustments with lighting, color & tone, and composition.
    • Take a screenshot of the results and document your prompt and styles.

  5. Select your favorite final image
    • Download the individual image
    • Document why this is your favorite.
    • Did it meet your expectations? If not, why?
    • Do you notice anything odd about the image?

Reminder Test #1 - February 26th

Just a reminder that our first test will be on Thursday, February 26th The test will cover chapters 2, 4-6, and the supplemental slides (color, tools for the web and designing for the web) we have reviewed in class. It will consist of 20 multiple choice questions and long answer part 2 section. The test will be given on paper/blue book.

Reminder: Project Proposals Due February 12th

Just a reminder that your project proposals are due February 12th.

Please refer to the project proposal guidelines in your project packet and the sample project proposal to help you along and remember to format each section in paragraph form.

Make sure you remember to include a cover page, summary, site flowchart and project schedule in your proposal.

Reminder: Exercise 1 Due 2/12

Just a reminder that Exercise #1 (James Webb Telescope) is due on 2/12.

The purpose of this exercise is to practice identifying the html elements that make up a webpage and format text using Dreamweaver. You will also push your files to
GitHub.

We will be having a quiz on September 19th at the beginning of class. The quiz will be 10 questions, multiple choice and will cover Chapters 1, 2 & 11. You will take the quiz in Canvas. Please refer to the resources page to help you study.
